Halo Laser Skin Rejuvenation
in Swansea, Belleville, Fairview, and O’Fallon

Over time, sun exposure combined with your body’s natural aging process can cause your skin to lose its youthful glow. This could result in common signs of aging including fine lines, skin discolorations, and sunspots. This can lead to the appearance of older age, and hurt your overall self-confidence. No need to remain frustrated with skin that does not reflect your greatest potential! The innovative Halo laser is designed to target the correct depths of your skin, eliminating years of damage.

What is Halo Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

Halo is a laser skin rejuvenation treatment that improves your skin with minimal downtime. One of the greatest things about Halo treatment is the dual-wavelength process (both ablative and non-ablative) that incorporates a cooling system to ensure comfort throughout the treatment. One wavelength helps reduce pigmentation and discoloration of the skin by targeting the outer layer (epidermis). The other wavelength penetrates the skin even deeper to reverse the damage below the skin.

What are the Benefits of HALO Laser?

  • Targets your precise skin damage.
  • Improves the appearance of tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Reduces pore size.
  • Increases reflectivity and glow.
  • Flexibility in treatment levels and minimal downtime.
  • Customizable treatment to fit your lifestyle.

What Does Halo Laser Target?

Halo targets years of damage to your skin, including:

  • Discoloration
  • Sun damage
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines

How Does Halo Laser Treatment Work?

The Halo treatment lasts for approximately 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of your treatment area. Our clinician will place a topical anesthetic on your skin approximately 30 minutes prior to your treatment to improve comfort during the procedure.

Does Halo Skin Rejuvenation Hurt?

Most patients describe sensations warmth with occasional prickling sensations, but overall comfortable. Following the treatment, most patients continue to feel very warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes.

Halo vs. Broadband Light

Many are unaware of the key differences between Halo and Broadband light (BBL) as they utilize the same machine. The key differences between Halo and BBL are their overall target of what they are able to restore and renew on the face and body. Halo is a common treatment used for women who suffer from melasma. Melasma happens when female hormones combined with sun exposure and inflammation create unpleasant brown discoloration on the skin. The Halo laser is also a phenomenal treatment for the rejuvenation of the skin; including diminishing pore size, fine line, and wrinkles.

BBL treatments are a filtered light specific for the treatment of red vessels or brown spots. This treatment helps to remove redness and pinkness in the skin, brown age spots and sun damage.  BBL also incorporates thermal heating to help to tighten the skin and produce collagen growth.

Will I Need Multiple Skin Rejuvenation Treatments?

The great thing about Halo treatment is that it is highly customizable. You will be able to discuss with our clinician your exact concerns and we will be able to come up with a treatment plan that best suits you. For some patients, we recommend Halo treatments once a year, while others may desire a series over time to achieve certain results.

What Our Patients Have to Say

"I’ve been coming to their med spa for a couple years now and have always been happy with my results. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Angie and Casey are very skilled injectors. I love how my filler and tox always turns out. I’ve also had a Halo treatment and was pleased with the outcome. Sometimes they run behind but I don’t mind because when I’m in the chair they don’t rush me, so I know it’s them taking their time with clients to make sure they leave satisfied."

When Will I see Results From Halo Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

You will notice results within a few days after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement after the first two to three weeks. But the smoothing of your collagen production will continue for 3 months.

What is the Recovery Process Like?

At Musick Dermatology & Advanced Clinical Spa, we apply Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) following Halo treatment to provide exceptional results. PRP helps to stimulate collagen production providing you with your desired results. Not only does it decrease healing time, but it also helps to enhance Halo’s ability to improve fine lines and wrinkles.

How Long Will My Halo Laser Results Last?

Halo has been engineered to last for years following your treatment, however, we always instruct our patients to continue to keep their skin protected at all times. You can do so by using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin. Additional treatments will only improve your results, giving you even better-looking skin. Maintenance is essential to remain youthful!
